Atlanta, GA’s bastards of noise rock, Whores have announced a three week tour in support of their latest critically acclaimed release Clean. The tour kicks off with an appearance at SXSW in Austin, TX and then includes a run of dates through the Midwest with Lo-Pan followed by East Coast dates with label-mates Fight Amp and select dates with Deafheaven, Roomrunner, and Rye Coalition. Whores released their second album Clean on LP/Digital this past October via Brutal Panda Records and it quickly sold out within a month. A second pressing of the hard-hitting noise rock behemoth is available for pre-order here. The album can be streamed in its entirety here.
Additionally, Whores are set to release a split 7″ of The Cure covers with Portland, OR noise/sludge trio Rabbits via Brutal Panda Records / Eolian Empire on February 11th. The label will be releasing four split 7″s every couple of months throughout 2013 and featuring Black Tusk, Fight Amp, Kowloon Walled City, Helms Alee, Ladder Devils, Rabbits, Whores and Batillus. The series is kicking off with a new repress of the long out of print Black Tusk / Fight Amp split featuring artwork from Baroness frontman John Baizley. Each additional split will contain brand new and exclusive tracks from the aforementioned bands with details on the second title to be released shortly.
The series will be limited to 100 subscribers who will receive a special vinyl color for each release in addition to the chance at winning a test press of one of the titles. Brutal Panda Records is proud to announce that Pacific Northwest rock crew HARKONEN will reunite to play three exclusive east coast shows this June. These special events are a series of Brutal Panda label showcases that also include THE ATLAS MOTH and WHORES on all dates. The shows will take place, starting June 14th, in Boston, Brooklyn and Philadelphia, with the Brooklyn show being a part of the Northside Festival. Atlanta, GA noise merchants WHORES have unleashed their debut release, Ruiner, via Brutal Panda Records. The album was recorded this past summer at The Factory in Atlanta, GA with Kyle Spence (HARVEY MILK) handling the mastering duties. The record is available on 12″ vinyl, with orders available here. A stream of Ruiner‘s opening track, “Daddy’s Money’, can be heard via the band’s official Bandcamp page.
