Philadelphia, PA noise rock quartet Ladder Devils make their long awaited return with Clean Hands, the first proper full-length for the band. Featuring former members of hardcore heroes The Minor Times, the group previously released a series of EPs and splits with Helms Alee, Kowloon Walled City and Fight Amp, leading up to the recording of this album. Now with tighter songwriting and cleaner production, the band mix the punk urgency of Nirvana with the sonic experimentation of The Pixies to create a sound that is all their own. Fans of post-hardcore, noise rock, grunge and loud indie rock will surely embrace the rattling sounds of Ladder Devils.
Clean Hands was recorded at Gradwell House Studios in Haddon Heights, NJ by Steve Poponi (Fight Amp) in the winter of 2013/2014 and will see it’s release on November 4th on LP/Digital. The series is kicking off with a new repress of the long out of print Black Tusk / Fight Amp split featuring artwork from Baroness frontman John Baizley. Each additional split will contain brand new and exclusive tracks from the aforementioned bands with details on the second title to be released shortly.

Portland, OR doom / sludge titans NORSKA (featuring members of YOB) have unleashed their debut release via Brutal Panda Records. The 5 song, 40 minute eponymous debut was recorded by Adam Bradley Pike (BLACK ELK, RED FANG) at Toadhouse Studios in the band’s hometown. Mixing heavy, meditative riffs and a thundering rhythm section with psychedelic flourishes, NORSKA prove they are true masters of their craft. Atlanta, GA noise merchants WHORES have unleashed their debut release, Ruiner, via Brutal Panda Records. The album was recorded this past summer at The Factory in Atlanta, GA with Kyle Spence (HARVEY MILK) handling the mastering duties. The record is available on 12″ vinyl, with orders available here. Brutal Panda Records has released Chicago’s progressive, psychedelic sludge mavens THE ATLAS MOTH’s sophomore opus, ‘An Ache For The Distance’, on 12″ gatefold vinyl this October. The album was released on CD and digital formats via Profound Lore and produced by the band’s own Andrew Ragin with mastering done by the legendary James Murphy (Death, Testament). The release is limited to a pressing of 500 copies on purple haze, white dwarf and glow-in-the-dark vinyl. The album is available now at this location and a tracklisting is included below.
Brutal Panda Records is set to repress Boston thrash crew RAMMING SPEED’s debut album, Brainwreck on limited edition, neon green vinyl. The second pressing will be limited to 300 copies and features updated artwork with even more neon! ‘Brainwreck‘ was recorded at New Alliance Studios (Isis, Converge, Bones Brigade) and released in 2008 via Candlelight Records. Additionally, the band will be heading to Europe on their Terrorizer sponsored headlining tour from June 11th – August 1, with tour dates available on the band’s MySpace page.
