The Atlas Moth – ‘The Old Believer’ 2xLP Now Available

With their third full length album “The Old Believer”, THE ATLAS MOTH are prepared to unleash their most glorious and riveting work yet. An album that sees the band exceeding all previous efforts in a work which takes the entire THE ATLAS MOTH musical paradigm and brings it to new levels unparalleled with more advanced and focused songwriting, production, and overall execution and presentation.

Produced by guitarist/keyboardist Andrew Ragin at Chicago’s Wall To Wall Studios and mixed and mastered by Kyle Spence of HARVEY MILK in Athens Georgia, “The Old Believer” features guest appearances by GOJIRA vocalist Joe Duplantier as well as SUBROSA violinists Kim Pack and Sarah Pendleton.

The press is available on four color variations and saw a late July release.  Purchase HERE.  The 2xLPs and gatefold jacket will be beautifully housed in an O-Card outer slip casing and will include an 8 page LP sized book.

Brutal Panda Official Summer Showcases Announced!

Brutal Panda Records is proud to announce that Pacific Northwest rock crew HARKONEN will reunite to play three exclusive east coast shows this June.  These special events are a series of Brutal Panda label showcases that also include THE ATLAS MOTH and WHORES on all dates.  The shows will take place, starting June 14th, in Boston, Brooklyn and Philadelphia, with the Brooklyn show being a part of the Northside Festival.  Each show will also feature a special guest on the bill including ZOZOBRALADDER DEVILS and FIGHT AMP.  The complete listing of dates and ticket info is available below the fold.

The Atlas Moth – ‘An Ache For The Distance’ Sees Limited Edition Vinyl Release!

Brutal Panda Records has released Chicago’s progressive, psychedelic sludge mavens THE ATLAS MOTH’s sophomore opus, ‘An Ache For The Distance’, on 12″ gatefold vinyl this October. The album was released on CD and digital formats via Profound Lore and produced by the band’s own Andrew Ragin with mastering done by the legendary James Murphy (Death, Testament). The release is limited to a pressing of 500 copies on purple haze, white dwarf and glow-in-the-dark vinyl. The album is available now at this location and a tracklisting is included below.
